Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Toffee Cookie Bars

1 stick butter
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/4 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup toffee chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13 baking dish.

Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat until it foams up and deepens in color.
Remove butter from heat and set aside to cool.

Whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder together in a large bowl.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the butter and sugars.
Add vanilla and eggs and mix well to combine.
Stir in the flour mixture.
Fold in the chocolate chips and toffee chips.
Press the batter into the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
Cool and slice into bars.
